Cover Letter To Restaurant

Hiring Manager

xxxxxxx restaurant

Jacksonville, Fl 32205

Dear Management

I am reaching out to extend interest in the bartending position you have posted on indeed. I believe this position would be a good fit for my experience. If you could please keep me in mind while making your final decision on hiring. I have recently moved to this area to buy a house but prior to that I was working a bartending position at Mellow Mushroom. They are a full bar pizza restaurant with an extensive draft beer menu I had to memorize and describe for two years. I Also have an associates degree from Saint John’s River State college, showing I am capable of critical thinking.

I started as a server at Mellow Mushroom and worked my way up to bartending, due to high sales. I learned the proper process for making mixed drinks and the measurements. I transferred from a location in st Augustine to pursue more schooling. After that I moved to Jacksonville to buy a house, I am looking for a long term position and I think that I could be a good addition to your team.

I have my resume attached with my previous work history and details on my education. I’d like to meet for an interview at your earliest convenience, my phone number is (xxx)xxx-xxxx and my email is xxxxxxx@gmail.com

Sincerely,

Jesse Pines

Position Analysis For various Career paths

Lolas bartending position

I think the employer is looking for a new hire that knows how to handle pressure. I think this is the most important quality for a candidate because the position is fast paced.  The work environment is personal and chaotic because you are very close with customers. You are also meant to handle many tasks at the same time.

Bank of America investment consultant

The employer is looking for someone who is capable of critical thinking skills. This is the most important quality for the role because you need to think outside the box regarding customers money. The environment in this position would be professional and you would be expected to be more knowledgeable than an entry level job. This is because of how much there is to learn about the field that many people might not know. I think the employer might negotiate on experience because there might not be many people already informed on the field unless they already worked the job.

IT support specialist

The employer is likely looking for someone with critical thinking skills in this job as well. You would need to know basic computer skills or be able to learn quickly. The environment would likely be a more secluded compared to the other two jobs. You would be spending more time troubleshooting equipment alone than working with the customers. This position is part time and entry level so they would be more likely to flexible about experience.

I would likely apply for all three but Lola’s is the position I would likely hear back from. I have a background in restaurants and that position. I know how restaurants run and work unlike the other two jobs. I chose this job as one of the jobs because I would need to apply for something I know I can get hired in.

Water Simulation: Research on VFX Water in Computer Programs

  1. Visual effects in movies and games are an intensive process on computers, and they can be run more efficiently. Is it possible to make a home build computer with low end specifications run a CPU heavy program and simulation. If not, is it possible to make a higher end computer run heavy programs in a more efficient way without re-writing software. Using many different programs would be essential and varying computers would be needed.

  2. Even without finding a solution to if programs could be made to run easier, students would learn a lot about the programs they use. There are many programs to learn such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, RealFlow, and Unreal Engine. With access to each it would be possible to see the similarities and differences between each, and which functions the best for the desired effects. Students may not have access to these resources currently and by having access to them in classes they wouldn’t have to waste money on programs they wouldn’t enjoy using.

  3. Improving a computer’s ability to run a difficult simulation might require decreasing certain aspects of the simulation like the number of polygons. Something like water would likely be run as algorithms and run under a few different filters to create realism. Working within the program’s tools would be the first step and then looking at how the coding and framework works.

  4. The end goal would be an article to share the experience with students and create a guide on various programs. Students might have more understanding on complex simulations after reading the article. They might also have newer knowledge on how to make better videos or games. If a solution can be made then it would be a great breakthrough and could solve hardware issues for many people.

  5. I have previously used programs like blender and studied how simulations are made. I have worked on home projects and am continuing to study the 3d software and coding fields.

  6. Some programs are free but Maya is a program for example that would cost 168 dollars for a month of use. Adding on the additional hardware needed the total cost would roughly be around 1500 dollars.
